Your Comprehensive Eye Care Clinic

As a leader in eye care in Western Massachusetts, we're proud to offer advanced technology in a friendly environment. Our services include comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases (from conjunctivitis to glaucoma), eye emergencies, prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses, surgery co-management, Ortho-K and much more. Our new state-of-the-art facility includes a beautiful optical showroom with exclusive lines of designer frames, an on-site lens manufacturing lab and a caring staff of optometrists and opticians, and technicians.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Our comprehensive eye examination looks for early signs of eye disease such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye.  Not only can eye conditions be diagnosed, but the eyes also give us insight into your general health and are an important part of your preventative health care regime. Diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer and vascular disease can also be detected in the eyes.

Our fully qualified Optometrists will conduct a thorough eye examination using state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose your eyesight and the health of your eyes. We recommend preventative eye health examinations yearly. Schedule an appointment today!

Contact Lenses

There are a number of reasons why you might prefer contact lenses to standard eyewear: a glasses-free look, hassle-free vision correction, wearing non-prescription sunwear and goggles, or the convenience of not having to worry about misplacing your glasses. If you have a high prescription or astigmatism, contact lenses may provide more enhanced vision correction than glasses. Today, you can even replace your bifocal glasses with bifocal contact lenses.

Vonnahme Eye Care can recommend the best contact lenses for you based on a complete eye examination and a review of your visual needs both at work and play. Since most people can wear more than one type of lens, it’s important to know what the choices are and the advantages and disadvantages to each.

Corneal Refractive Therapy

Orthokeratology is a vision correction therapy for patients with moderate myopia (nearsightedness) and low amounts of astigmatism. A retainer, worn at night, manipulates the fluid forces of the tear layer in your eye to reshape your eye's outer surface. (By tear layer, we mean, of course, the layer of clear salty lubricating liquid in your eye, the same liquid that is in tear drops when one cries.)
